Free Online Training on Emergency Contraception

As you well know, women in the United States today have more access to Emergency Contraceptive pills (ECPs) than ever before, yet the unintended pregnancy rate in the U.S. remains essentially unchanged. The Association of Reproductive Health Professionals invites you to participate in a real-time, interactive Webinar, led by Dr. James Trussell, on Emergency Contraception (EC). There is no charge to participate in this Webinar, and there will be time at the end of the hour for Q&A.

Join Dr. Trussell, unsurpassed guru on all things EC, for an honest conversation on how ECPs work and what over-the-counter/behind-the-counter status has meant vis-à-vis access and unintended pregnancies.

Both this session and an earlier one will be archived immediately following the live session.

CHCF Health Care Leadership Program

Clinicians and QI Peer Network Members:

The California HealthCare Foundation's Health Care Leadership Program is now accepting applicants for its next Cohort. This is a two-year program that develops health care leaders from all sectors - private, public health, and community health center. It also has representatives from many different health professions - nurses, doctors, pharmacists, dentists, and more.

It helps develops one's skills in communication, presentations, business, and strategic planning. It also provides access to a diverse network of health care professionals who are interested in change. In a time of change for the health centers - the budget crisis, new reporting requirements from BPHC, etc. - it is more important than ever to have clinical leaders in our health centers. The 2008 FPMTC Male Reproductive Health Conference is scheduled for May 5-7 in San Diego, California. This exciting conference will focus on the issues that challenge male family planning and male reproductive health programs. The three-day event promises to be a great opportunity for professionals working in these areas to network while learning about new developments, emerging trends and refinements of traditional strategies for increasing male involvement.
