TalkWithYourKids.org Re-Launched - Now in Spanish!
(As part of our relaunch, the TalkWithYourKids.org blog has been moved to http://www.talkwithyourkids.org/pages/blog. Please update your bookmarks accordingly.)
I am pleased to announce that the parent section of CFHC’s parent-child communication website, www.TalkWithYourKids.org, is now available in Spanish!
Click on the link in the upper right-hand corner of each page that says “Para Padres en Espanol” to get to the parent's section. You can also navigate by finding the link at the bottom of each page the will take you to the equivelant Spanish version.
This cultural-adaptation greatly improves access to this important resource for parents in California, and the rest of the nation. Now, even more parents can learn about keeping their children safe and healthy by talking with their kids about sex (sexo), healthy relationships (las relaciones saludables) and health care (hablemos sobre la atención médica).
The Special Focus (Enfoque Especial) section of the website was also adapted into Spanish and provides additional information to parents about preventing sexual coercion (presión sexual) and confidentiality and mandated reporting (confidencialidad y el informe obligatorio).
In addition to our "What's New" blog, you can also follow TalkWithYourKids.org on Facebook and Twitter. Start the conversation today!
