You may access free online courses accredited for continuing education credit as well as supplementary tools to help you and your organization promote respectful, understandable, and effective care to your increasingly diverse patients.

Get More Training on Health Literacy

Want to learn more about meeting the needs of clients with low health literacy?  Check out Unified Health Communication 101, a free online training course from the US HRSA.

The course is designed for anyone who provides health services and information.  It includes modules on:

• Health Communication
• Health Literacy
• Cultural Competency
• Limited English Proficiency

The course takes about 5 hours and includes interactive exercises, video vignettes, and knowledge checks.  Participants can also receive course credit (CEU/CE, CHES, CME, CNE).
